America's 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
America's 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run takes place on July 3, 2027 at the Anderson South Carolina Courthouse, 100 South Main Street, Anderson, SC 29621. The event is presented as a Fourth of July celebration during America's 250th Birthday weekend and includes both a 5K run/walk and a 1 Mile fun run.

Registration and fees are listed for each distance: the 5K has a registration period beginning July 6, 2026 and closing July 31, 2026 with a registration fee of $15.00; the 1 Mile fun run has registration open July 6, 2026 through July 3, 2027 with a registration fee of $10.00. Race swag notes that a finish line medal is included and a souvenir race shirt is available as an add on. Medals and refreshments are provided at the finish line.
Results and recognition include certificates and prizes for top three male and female overall finishers, top three masters and top three grandmasters, and age group awards across standard age brackets from 10 and under through 80 and over. A costume contest awards $250 cash and is voted on by peers. The 5K is listed as a certified course. Proceeds support the Operation Active Kids scholarship program.
