American Heroes Run
American Heroes Run is a commemorative running event held in Longmont, CO at 220 Hover Street. The event remembers the events of 9/11/01 and honors those who serve to protect the nation. The course is a flat, looped circuit measuring 1.05-mile per lap.
The event offers a range of race formats and virtual options. Distances and formats include:
- 100 mile run with a 30 hour cutoff
- 24 hour run
- 9 hour and 11 minute event and full marathon
- Half marathon
- 9.11 mile run
- 5K run or walk
- Six hour open start window
- Virtual entries available
Support and participant amenities are provided. Every participant receives a race shirt, a special event dogtag, and other items. Finishers receive an event coin and a finisher award; 100 mile finishers receive a belt buckle. A fully stocked aid station is located near the start and finish area and bathrooms are nearby. For overnight races, runners may custom order hot food that will be prepared and available between laps, with examples including quesadillas, potatoes, mashed potatoes, and ramen.
