American Heroes Run
American Heroes Run is scheduled for September 11–12, 2026 in Longmont, CO. The event is presented as a day of remembrance for the September 11, 2001 attacks and includes multiple timed race formats on a measured, flat, fast 1.05 mile loop course.
Races include varied durations and distances, with a 100-mile event that uses a 30-hour cutoff for completion. Timing is provided by a professional timing service with redundant data backups. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation options; virtual participants receive a shirt, certificate, and awards, with overseas shipping available for an additional fee.
Amenities for on-site participants include a high-quality race shirt, a special event dogtag, other participant items, a finishers coin and finisher award, and a belt buckle awarded to 100-mile finishers. A fully stocked aid station is located near the start and finish area, and bathrooms are available nearby. For overnight competitors, hot food items can be custom ordered and prepared between laps, with options such as quesadillas (vegan and non-vegan), potatoes, mashed potatoes, and ramen.
