American Heroes Run - Longmont, CO
American Heroes Run is a remembrance running event held in Longmont, Colorado at 220 Hover Street. The event honors the events of September 11, 2001 and emphasizes patriotism and remembrance. Races take place on a flat, fast 1.05 mile loop course.
Race formats include a mix of timed and fixed-distance options:
- 100 mile race, 30 hour cutoff
- 24 hour run
- 9 hour 11 minute event
- Marathon
- Half marathon
- 9.11 mile race
- 5K run or walk
- Six hour run within the 30 hour window
- Virtual participation, any distance
Participants receive event items and on-course support. Every participant will receive a race shirt and a special AHR dogtag, with finishers receiving a unique event coin and finisher award. 100 mile finishers receive a belt buckle. A fully stocked aid station is located near the start and finish, and bathrooms are nearby. Overnight races offer custom-ordered hot food prepared between laps, including quesadillas (vegan and non-vegan), potatoes, mashed potatoes, and ramen. Virtual participants receive a shirt, certificate, and awards; overseas shipping is extra.
