American Heroes Half Marathon, 10K, 5K
The Third Annual American Heroes run takes place in Bellevue, Nebraska, featuring three distinct distances for participants to choose from:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
All events start and finish at American Heroes Park. The course carries participants through American Heroes Park, Old Towne Bellevue, and the Keystone trail. The terrain consists of city streets and paved trails, though the Half Marathon route also includes sections of dirt roads. For the longer distances, aid stations are located approximately every 2 miles. The event has a total time limit of 4 hours for all participants.
Registration provides professional timing, a race shirt, and a custom finisher medal. Snacks are available for participants, and awards are presented for top finishers and various age groups. While the race is held rain or shine, it may be postponed or canceled in the event of dangerous weather conditions. Strollers and dogs are permitted on the course.
Limited parking is available at American Heroes Park, with overflow parking situated at Haworth Park, south of Mission Avenue. Packet pickup is scheduled for the day prior to the race at a local athletic store, with additional pickup options available on the morning of the event.
