American Hero 25K Relay and Associated Races
This event is staged at Comanche Park and the Salado Creek Greenway in San Antonio, with the listed address 2600 Rigsby Ave. It comprises a set of on-site and virtual running and rucking events that honor heroes through organised races.
The American Hero Half Marathon covers four loops of a 3.27 mile course for a total of 13.1 miles on Salado Creek Greenway trails. The published registration fee for the half marathon is $65.
The 25K Relay is contested by teams of five runners, with each runner covering roughly a 5K segment. Teams must register together; changes are allowed at packet pickup. The first 20 teams to register will receive a free runner discount, and winning male and female teams are eligible for prize money.
Other on-site categories include a full effort 5K race, a Wheelchair 5K offered for multiple years with a possible separate route for safety, a Kids Fun Run of 400 meters for ages 12 and under, and a 10K Ruck of 6.2 miles. The ruck carries 50 pounds, is not timed, has a four hour finish limit, and includes a medic station near the finish. A special award is listed for the top three ruck competitors from E-Dragon productions. Virtual options include a virtual half marathon and a virtual 5K.
