American Hero 25K Relay & Half Marathon - Comanche Park, San Antonio
The American Hero 25K Relay & Half Marathon takes place on May 24, 2026, at Comanche Park and the Salado Creek Greenway in San Antonio, Texas. The park address is 2600 Rigsby Ave and the greenway provides the trails used for the courses.
Event distances and formats:
- 13.1 miles Half Marathon (four loops)
- 25K 25k Relay Team (teams of five)
- 5K Hero Race
- 400 m Kids Fun Run
- 5K Wheelchair division
- 10K Hero Ruck (ages 18 and over)
- Virtual Half Marathon and Virtual 5K
Relay teams must consist of five members; each team member performs one leg only. No participant may compete in more than one event. The fastest overall male and female relay teams will be declared USA National Champions. The half marathon and other courses are described by organizers as fast and flat; organizers are pursuing USATF certification.
The 10K Ruck requires participants to carry a rucksack weighing between 25 and 50 pounds. Age-group awards and overall prizes are listed for several events; the prize amounts published are minimums and may increase with sponsorship.
