America250 Gem County 5K & 1-Miler

The America250 Gem County 5K & 1-Miler is a running event held in Emmett, Idaho. Hosted at the Gem Island Sports Complex, the races take place on an out and back course that utilizes the Payette River Path. The terrain is described as flat and fast, beginning and ending at the sports complex near the visible start and finish arch.

Participants can choose from two distinct distances:

  • 5 km (3.1 miles)
  • 1 mile

The event is chip-timed by custom event solutions. The course follows a wide trail where runners and walkers are instructed to stay to the right to accommodate participants moving in both directions. Post-race hydration and nutrition are provided for all participants. The event is stroller-friendly, though dogs are not permitted on the course due to insurance regulations.

A portion of the registration fees supports local runners and running clubs. Podium awards are presented to the top three finishers in various age categories, ranging from ages 1-11 up to 60 and over, with separate awards for male and female participants. Individuals under 18 years of age must be registered by a parent or guardian. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
