The America250 Gem County 5K & 1-Miler is produced by Hi5K and held at the Gem Island Sports Complex in Emmett, Idaho. The event includes two distances and is sponsored by local organizations, with a portion of registration fees benefitting local runners and running clubs.

The course is an out-and-back that uses the Payette River Path. The trail is described as fairly wide and the route is flat. Runners and walkers use designated turnaround points for each distance; participants are asked to stay to the right when encountering traffic in the opposite direction. The event is chip-timed, with timing provided by Omni Go! Custom Event Solutions. Podium awards are given to the top three finishers in each age category, with male and female awards presented separately. Age categories include 1-11, 12-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
Additional details include post-race hydration and nutrition, stroller-friendly participation, and a restriction on dogs due to insurance requirements. Bib pickup is available before race day at Fleet Feet locations in Meridian and Nampa and on race day at Gem Island Sports Complex.
