Event overview
Amble's Revenge is a trail race held around Christmas or New Year, scheduled for Sunday 28 December 2025. The race is based on the former Hunshelf Amble. The course now starts and finishes in Oxspring and passes through Green Moor. The route is mainly off-road and undulating, covering approximately 7¾ miles (12½ km) with about 1,500 ft (450 m) of ascent. The event uses chip timing and provides a gift for all entrants. The race is run under UK Athletics rules with a Trail Running Association permit.
Entry, registration and logistics
Pre-entry is available online nearer the time. Pre-entry fees in the source text are £12 for EA-registered runners and £14 for non-EA-registered runners. Entries on the day can be accepted for an additional £2 if the race limit of 350 has not been reached; the event has sold out well before the date in recent years. Minimum age to enter is 17 on the day of the race. Registration and number collection take place at Rafters Bar, adjoining the Waggon & Horses in Oxspring (postcode S36 8YQ).
