Race to Remember - Alzheimer's Charity Race 5K and 1 Mile Walk
The Albemarle Rotary Club presents the 6th Annual Race to Remember, a fundraising event for Alzheimer’s and dementia research through Rotary’s nonprofit C.A.R.T. The event takes place in Albemarle, North Carolina, with the course routed through historic downtown and surrounding neighborhoods and the finish area at the field beside the YMCA Pavilion.
Distances offered:
- 5k Run Walk (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Walk/Run
- Virtual 5k with shirt and mailing
Registration details vary by entry type, with listed fees for each option and a shirt deadline of June 5 for same-day pickup. Late registrants may pick up shirts at The Independent Bistro or request mailing for an additional fee. Packet pickup is available Friday, June 11 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Independent Bistro, 251 W. Main Street, and on race morning from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM.
Parking is available near Y Park, at Hartsell Funeral Home (522 N. Second St.), and in the lot across from the pavilion. Awards include overall top three male and female finishers and top three in each age group: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
