Event details
All registrants receive a 2026 Turtle Race Fun Run shirt while sizes last. All race finishers receive a participant medal. The 5K is a timed race handled by Run Houston Timing and results will be available online. The event course is registered as Course Number TX16115ETM.
Awards are given to the top three boys and girls in the Kids 1K. For the 5K there are age-group awards (13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) and awards for overall men and women. Strollers are permitted. Dogs are allowed but must remain leashed and the owner accepts full responsibility for the pet and its actions.
Early packet pick-up is scheduled for February 18 and February 19 at local school and foundation locations. Registration pricing varies by date and category, with early-bird, pre-race, and race-day rates for adult and student 5K entries and for kids 1K entries. Proceeds benefit students and staff through grants and scholarships managed by the Alvin ISD Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3).
