Alvin ISD Education Foundation Turtle Race 5K & Kids 1K Family Fun Run
The event is a community running event held at Meridiana-Adventure Cove, 5225 Meridiana Pkwy, Manvel, TX 77578. It features a main 5K and a separate 1K for children, and includes vendors, activities, and food.

The 5K is a timed race managed by Run Houston Timing and carries course number TX16115ETM; results will be available online. All registrants receive a Turtle Race Fun Run shirt, with sizes provided on a first come, first served basis. All race finishers receive a participant medal.
Registration uses tiered pricing: early bird, a later online price window, and on-site race day pricing, with different fees for adult 5K, student 5K, and kids 1K. Awards are given to the top three boys and girls in the kids 1K and to the top three finishers in each 5K age category and overall men’s and women’s placements. Age categories for the 5K include 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Strollers are welcome. Dogs are permitted if leashed and well behaved, with owners accepting full responsibility for their pets. Early packet pick-up is offered at local school and foundation office locations, and there is packet pick-up on race day. Proceeds benefit students and staff of Alvin ISD through grants and scholarships managed by the Alvin ISD Education Foundation, a 501c3 organization.
