Race details
The 5 Km is a timed race with timing provided by Run Houston Timing and results posted online. All registrants receive a 2026 Turtle Race shirt (sizes on a first-come, first-served basis) and all race finishers receive a participant medal. Course number is TX16115ETM.
Registration pricing is tiered: early bird rates through January 28, higher online rates through February 19, and separate race day pricing. Packet pick-up is available on Wednesday, February 18 (4:00 pm-6:00 pm) at Shadow Creek High School front office, and on Thursday, February 19 (4:00 pm-6:00 pm) at the Education Foundation Office, 610 E. Clemens St., Alvin (side drive).
Awards are given to the top three boys and girls in the Kids 1K and to the top three in each 5K age category (13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) plus overall men’s and women’s. Strollers are welcome. Dogs are permitted if leashed and well-behaved; the owner accepts responsibility. Proceeds support Alvin ISD students and staff through grants and scholarships managed by the Alvin ISD Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3).
