Event Overview
The Alvin ISD Education Foundation Turtle Race features a 5K and a Kids 1K Family Fun Run. The event is scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2026.

Distances

Participant Perks
All registered participants receive a 2026 Turtle Race Fun Run shirt, with sizes available on a first-come, first-served basis. Every finisher is awarded a participant medal.
Awards
Awards are presented for the 5K to the top three finishers in each age category and for overall men's and women's placements. Age categories range from 13 and under to 70 and over. For the Kids 1K, the top three boys and girls receive awards.
Policies and Amenities
Strollers are permitted on the course. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed and well-behaved, with owners assuming full responsibility. Parents may accompany children in the Kids 1K.
Packet Pickup
Early packet pickup is available on February 18 and 19, 2026, at locations including Shadow Creek High School Front Office and the Education Foundation Office in Alvin.
Charity Focus
The event raises funds for the Alvin ISD Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Proceeds support grants and scholarships for students and staff of Alvin ISD. Registration fees are non-refundable and considered donations if the event is canceled.
