Alton Miles for Meso 5K Run & 3K Fun Run/Walk
Miles for Meso in Alton, Illinois is an annual event supporting mesothelioma awareness and research. The event has taken place in Alton since 2009 and is hosted by Simmons Hanly Conroy and Metro Tri Club. The next edition is scheduled for Sept. 19, 2026 and will be offered both in-person and virtually.

Registration is available online with early, regular, late, and virtual windows and specified fees. Race day registration is offered on-site at a set fee. All registered participants receive a long-sleeved, moisture-wicking T-shirt; sizes are guaranteed only for those who register by the stated deadline. Virtual attendees who register by the listed date can have shirts mailed.
Every registrant receives a participation medal. Cash prizes are awarded to the top five men and women overall, with amounts for first through fifth place. High school and college athletes are ineligible for cash prizes due to IMSA/MHSA and NCAA rules; student athletes who place will receive alternative prizes. Medals are awarded to the top three men and women in-person runners across standard age groups.
The event supports fundraising for mesothelioma charities. Organizers recognize top fundraising teams and aim to reach a fundraising goal for the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization.
