About the race
The Almond Bowl 5K & 10K takes place on November 1, 2026 in Lower Bidwell Park in Chico, California. Both races start on South Park Drive and finish near Sycamore Field.

The course is a flat, fast loop through newly paved sections of lower Bidwell Park. The entry includes a race shirt from Upper Park Clothing, a race bib, and post-race snacks. Participants who register by October 9, 2026 are guaranteed a tee shirt; shirts are adult unisex sizes only and no youth sizes will be available. Limited extra shirts will be available at packet pickup and after the race on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Packet pickup and in-person registration are held at Fleet Feet Chico on October 30 and 31; packet pickup times are provided by the organizer. Fleet Feet Chico is located at 241 Main Street, Chico, CA.
Aid and restroom provisions include three water stations for the 10K and two for the 5K, with water stops near Cedar Grove, Peterson Drive Gate, and the 99 Overpass. Restrooms are available at One Mile Recreation, Cedar Grove Park, Pettersen Drive park entrance, and portable units at the start and finish.
Cash prizes are offered to the top male and female in each race. Age-group awards are given to the top three in each gender for standard age brackets from 14 and under through 70 and over.
