Almond Bowl 5K & 10K : November 2, 2025
The Almond Bowl is scheduled for November 2, 2025 in Lower Bidwell Park, starting on South Park Drive and finishing near Sycamore Field. This is the 51st running of the event. The race serves as a fundraiser for local high school cross-country teams and band programs.

Course, services and logistics
Both courses are described as flat, fast loops through newly paved sections of Lower Bidwell Park. The 10k course will have three aid stations; the 5k will have two. Restrooms are available at One Mile Recreation (north and south of the pool), Cedar Grove Park, Pettersen Drive park entrance, and with portable units at the start and finish. Shirts (cotton-poly blend, adult unisex sizes only) are guaranteed for registrations by October 17, 2025; limited extras will be available at packet pickup. Online registration closes October 31, 2025; in-person packet pickup is held at Fleet Feet Chico on October 31 and November 1.
Park vehicle access to the park is closed on race day, so parking is on or near Woodland Avenue with multiple entrances to the One Mile Recreation Area. Race rules note visible bib placement, no pets on course, strollers must start at the back, and chip timing is used for placements; cash prizes are offered to the top male and female in each race and age-group awards are given to the top three in each bracket.
