Almond Bowl 5K & 10K - November 1, 2026
The 52nd Annual Almond Bowl takes place on November 1, 2026 in Lower Bidwell Park, with the course located along South Park Drive and finishing near Sycamore Field. The event offers the following distances:

- 10 km
Entry for registered participants includes a race shirt from Upper Park Clothing Co., a race bib, and post-race snacks. The event serves as a fundraiser for local high school cross-country teams and band programs; additional donations can be made during registration.
The course is an officially certified, flat and fast loop through newly paved sections of Lower Bidwell Park. Aid stations and restrooms are provided - the 10k has three aid stations and the 5k has two. Water stations are listed at Cedar Grove Bathrooms, Peterson Drive Gate, and the 99 Overpass (Vallombrosa side). Additional restrooms are available at One Mile Recreation, Cedar Grove Park, and Petersen Drive park entrances, plus portable restrooms at the start and finish.
Online registration is available; in-person registration is limited to packet pickup. Packet pickup takes place at Fleet Feet Chico, 241 Main Street, on October 30 and 31. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by October 16, 2026. Awards include cash prizes for top male and female finishers in each race and age-group awards for the top three in each bracket. No refunds on race entries or merchandise will be issued.
