The Almond Bowl 5K & 10K takes place on November 1, 2026, in Lower Bidwell Park, Chico (South Park Drive). The event offers the following distances:

Course and event features
Both races use a flat, looped course through newly paved sections of Lower Bidwell Park. Races start on South Park Drive and finish near Sycamore Field. Entry includes a race shirt from Upper Park Clothing, a race bib, and post-race snacks. The event is a fundraiser for local high school cross-country teams and band programs.
Registration, logistics, services and rules
Online registration is available and closes shortly before the race; in-person registration is offered only during packet pickup at Fleet Feet Chico on the two days before the race. Participants who register by October 16 are guaranteed a race shirt; shirts after that date are limited. There are three aid stations for the 10K and two for the 5K, with water locations named Cedar Grove, Peterson Drive Gate, and 99 Overpass (Vallombrosa side). Restrooms are available at One Mile recreation, Cedar Grove Park, Pettersen Drive park entrance, and portable units at start and finish. Chip timing is used; top-finisher results are based on gun time while age-group placements use chip time. No pets on course and strollers must start at the back.
