Almaden Spring Run
The Almaden Spring Run is a community fundraising event held in San Jose, California. Organized by the Leland High School Booster Club, the event functions as a walkathon and run to support student athletes at Leland High School. All proceeds from the registration fees are directed to the non-profit booster club.
Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
The event is organized through the collaborative efforts of booster club board members, community volunteers, and students. Registration includes professional timing services and a race bib for each participant. Upon finishing the course, every runner receives a finishers medal. Complementary event photos are provided after the race. Depending on the registration date, an event T-shirt may also be included.
On-course support is managed by student volunteers from the high school. For those participating in the event, packet pickup is available at Leland High School on the Friday before the race or on the morning of the event. The course involves several local street closures along Camden Avenue to ensure a dedicated path for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
