Almaden Hills Trail Run - Fall
This trail running event takes place at Almaden Quicksilver Park in Almaden Valley, San Jose, California, with the start and finish at the Mockingbird Parking Lot area. The course surface is approximately 60% dirt roads and 40% single track and is described as very hilly with park and valley views.
Race distances include:
- 5K
- 10K
- 8 Mile
- Half Marathon
- 30K
- Trail Marathon
- 50K
Aid support includes two fully stocked aid stations: Mockingbird Parking Lot Aid Station at the start/finish and the Hacienda Parking Lot Aid Station. Distances at or longer than the half marathon will typically encounter these aid stations every three to four miles. Drop bag service is available for the 30K, Trail Marathon, and 50K; crew access is possible at the two aid station locations. All distances finish at the Mockingbird Parking Lot.
Course marking uses colored ribbons and signs; ribbon colors and bib colors vary by distance. Climb information (course ascent) is provided for each distance, with the largest ascent listed for the 50K. Toilets are available at the start/finish area and adjacent to the Hacienda Aid Station for 8 mile and longer runners. All finishers receive a medal.
Registration is non-refundable; transfers to future events are available if arranged before race day. Event parking is provided at Almaden Neighborhood Church about a 0.3 mile walk from the start; participants are asked to respect the church property and nearby residential streets.
