Alloa Half Marathon
The 43rd Alloa Half Marathon takes place on 21 March 2027 at Lornshill Academy, Alloa FK10 2ES. The event is a single-lap road race covering 13.1 miles through the Clackmannanshire countryside, passing Alloa, Sauchie, Fishcross, Tillicoultry, Alva, Menstrie and Tullibody. The course records a total climb of about 96 m. Previous fields have reached around 2,700 runners.
Entries open with an early-bird period from 1 September to 31 December 2026 and general entry from 1 January 2027. Early-bird affiliated entry is listed at £37 and general affiliated entry at £42; non-affiliated rates are higher. A booking fee applies and includes postage and packaging of the race number. Entry includes chip timing, the posted race number, on-course support and water stations, medical provision, and a finisher's medal and T-shirt. Entries are non-refundable and non-deferrable; any permitted transfer process will be announced by the organisers. Runners should be able to complete the course within three hours. There is no runner parking at Lornshill Academy; runners are asked to use town centre car parks and the free shuttle buses to the start or to take the train to Alloa station and catch the shuttle from the bus station. The race is organised entirely by Alloa Round Table volunteers and raises money for local charities and youth groups, with over £1 million raised since 1984. The main sponsor listed is AHC Tool Hire.
