Christmas Cracker at Palacerigg Country Park
North Lanarkshire Council stages a festive running event called the Christmas Cracker at Palacerigg Country Park on 13th December. The main race is a 5k that is open to participants over the age of 12. The event is described as the return of the Christmas Cracker.
There are multiple entry options offered for different ages and distances:
- Christmas Cracker 5k
- Christmas Cracker 1K
- Christmas Cracker Toddler Dash
- Christmas Cracker 400m
Every registrant receives a race pack containing a race number, a timing chip, a festive T shirt and either a Santa hat or antlers. Race packs must be collected on the day from the registration area, which opens at 8:30am and closes 20 minutes before the race start.
On completion participants receive fruit, water and cereal bars, and all participants receive a unique finishers medal. Participants are encouraged to dress up and wear the supplied festive items during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
