About the race
Allithwaite 8 is a well-established autumn trail race staged by Allithwaite Running Club at Allithwaite Community Centre on the Cartmel peninsula. The roughly 8-mile (13 km) course combines trail, fell and quiet roads and is well marked and marshalled to let runners enjoy the scenery. The event is renowned for its friendly, distinctly local atmosphere and donates a large portion of proceeds to the local school, community centre, and related projects.
