Event Overview

The All-Out Kooky-Spooky is an annual running event held at the base of Table Mountain and the Colorado foothills. Starting from the NAAC Stadium in Golden, the courses utilize the Ralston Creek Trail and provide views of the Blunn Reservoir and Tucker Lake. This event concludes the daylight savings period, allowing for an extra hour of rest before the start. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes for a formal contest held on site.

Course Details

The event offers three main distances that utilize local trail systems and paved sidewalks:

  • Half Marathon: A 13.1 mile course featuring a seven-mile out and back dogleg and a loop around Blunn Reservoir.
  • 10K: A 10 km route passing Tucker Lake and following the Ralston Creek Trail around the reservoir.
  • 5K: A 5 km out and back course running northwest with the reservoir on the right side.

The Half Marathon includes eight opportunities to fuel up and three toilets along the route. The 10K provides three fueling stations and one toilet, while the 5K includes two fueling stations. All races depart from the east end of the NAAC parking lot and utilize the sidewalk on the south side of W 64th Pkwy to access the trail via underpasses. Virtual options are also available for those who wish to complete their chosen distance remotely and receive a medal by mail. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
