Aldeburgh Olde Marine Regatta and Carnival 10k Mini Marathon
The event is a 10k race held in Aldeburgh as part of the Olde Marine Regatta and Carnival on 16 August 2026. Registration for the race takes place on the greens immediately north of the Moot Hall between 09:00 and 09:45, and online registration closes at 16:00 on Saturday 15 August 2026. Adult online entries are priced at £13.50 plus a 54p administration fee; adult on-the-day entry is £15.00. Junior entries are free both online and on the day. Juniors must be under 14 years on the day and their registration must be countersigned by an adult who will be responsible for the entrant during the event.
Participants will be arranged into three start groups by expected race time: elite runners (sub 50 minutes), regular runners (50 to 70 minutes) and casual runners (over 70 minutes). Competitors are asked to observe the coloured flags to help prevent congestion at the start.
A route map is provided and paper copies will be available when race numbers are collected. The course is signed and marshalled. Runners must observe the Highway Code, take care when crossing roads and must not use the main road. A short stretch of beach in Thorpeness is part of the route and dogs are not permitted on that section.
Medals and trophies will be presented by the Mayor at the event. Market Cross Place will be closed to traffic for the event and check in closes at midday. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
