Event Information
The Aldeburgh Olde 10k Mini Marathon is held on 16 August 2026. It is part of the Aldeburgh Olde Marine Regatta and Carnival. The event is sponsored by Aitch GROUP.
Registration
Registration takes place on the greens north of the Moot Hall. Online registration closes at 16:00 on Saturday, 15 August 2026.
- Adult online registration: £13.50 plus a 54p administration fee.
- Adult registration on the day: £15.00.
- Junior registration: Free for entrants under 14 years old on the day. A responsible adult must countersign the registration.
The Start and Course
Participants assemble on the road outside the Moot Hall. Runners are grouped at the start based on expected finish time, using coloured flags: elite (sub 50 minutes), regular (50–70 minutes), and casual (over 70 minutes). The 10 km route is available as a map online and in paper copies on the day. The course is well signed and marshalled.
Participants must observe the Highway Code, not use the main road, and avoid bringing dogs due to a short beach section in Thorpeness where they are not permitted.
Prizes and Practicalities
Medals are presented by the Mayor to all competitors finishing by 12:00. Trophies for the first male, first lady, first junior boy, and first junior girl are also presented at the Moot Hall steps at 12:00. Winners may wish to arrange for a photograph.
Market Cross Place is closed to traffic from 09:30 until 11:30 for the event. Check-in closes at 12:00. A sponsorship form template for raising money for charity is available on the event website. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
