Run for Wildlife - Africa Alive 5K
Run for Wildlife - Africa Alive 5K takes place on 29 August 2026 at Africa Alive in the UK. The event is sponsored by Everywhen Insurance and follows a unique 5 km route through the park with close views of animals such as giraffes, lions, antelope, meerkats, lemurs and African wild dogs, set against coastal scenery. Some species may be off-show during the event to protect animal welfare.
Entry includes full-day access to Africa Alive on race day and a finisher medal. The event offers discounted zoo tickets for friends and family and access to a Race Day Village. Fundraising is optional and managed via a GoFundMe page, with prizes for fundraisers including an award for the top fundraiser. Africa Alive is part of the Zoological Society of East Anglia, a charity supporting wildlife.
Practical details: the entry fee is £17.50 and the field is limited to 1,000 runners. Minimum age is 6 years; under 11s must be accompanied by an adult. Buggy runners and babies in slings are not permitted. Parking is free. Race numbers are collected on the day and a bag drop is available. Water is provided after the race and hot food and drinks are available to purchase. Official race T-shirts are offered for purchase.
