Run for Wildlife - Africa Alive 5K
Run Africa Alive 5K takes place at Africa Alive on 29 August 2026. The event is a five kilometre run sponsored by Everywhen Insurance that follows a route through the park, offering close views of animals such as giraffes, lions, antelope, meerkats, lemurs and African wild dogs set against coastal scenery. Some species may be off-show on the day to protect animal welfare.
Race entry includes full-day entry to Africa Alive, a finisher medal, discounted zoo tickets for friends and family, access to the Race Day Village and eligibility for fundraising prizes including a reward for the top fundraiser. Fundraising is organised via a GoFundMe page.
Practical details: the entry fee is £17.50 and event capacity is 1000 runners. Minimum age is six years; under 11s must be accompanied by an adult. Buggy runners and babies in slings are not permitted. Free parking is available. Race numbers are collected on the day and a bag drop is provided. Water is supplied after the race and hot food and drinks are available to purchase. An official race T shirt is offered for a separate fee.
Entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred. Transfers to another runner are available until midnight before the event.
