Event Overview
The ALCAL Scoop Scoot is a family-oriented community event held at William Land Park in Sacramento, California. The primary objective of the gathering is to raise funds for several local nonprofit organizations, including Project R.I.D.E., Ronald McDonald House Sacramento, Sutter Children’s Center, and UC Davis Children’s Hospital.
Course Information
The event takes place on a 1-mile loop located inside the park on East Park Road. Participants have the flexibility to choose their own distance by completing as many loops as they prefer. There is no fixed start time within the operational hours of the course, allowing for a flexible experience.
Activities and Amenities
Registered participants receive a numbered bib which grants access to various amenities at the event:
- 1-mile loop
- Multi-lap option
- Leatherby's Family Creamery ice cream station
- Complimentary beer garden for participants aged 21 and older
- Live DJ music
Ice cream options typically include mint chocolate, cookie dough, or vanilla, with chocolate or caramel sauce toppings. The ice cream capacity is limited to 1,500 scoops.
Participation Details
Bib pickup is available on the day of the event at the start and finish area. Registration is mandatory for any individual wishing to receive ice cream or enter the beer garden. The event is supported by ALCAL Specialty Contracting and other local sponsors to facilitate the fundraising goal for the designated children's health and support organizations.
