ABQ Museum Dash
The ABQ Museum Dash is a community running and walking event held on August 16, 2026, in front of the Albuquerque Museum in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The start and finish areas are staged adjacent to Tiguex Park and are within walking distance of Old Town and nearby museums.
The event program includes the following distances:
- 5K (3.12 miles)
- 1 Mile Walk
- Kids K (1K)
The 5K is a timed event using a gun start and chip finish timing. Timing chips are attached to bibs; bibs must be worn on the front and visible. The 1 Mile Walk and Kids K are non-timed and offer recognition for participants. Packet pickup is offered the day before at a local running store and race-morning pickup is available for out-of-town participants.
Course support includes fluid stations with water and Powerade. Medical staff are positioned at the start and finish and along the course. Strollers are permitted under specific conditions and must be seeded at the back; skateboards, rollerblades, unauthorized bicycles, motorized devices, and dogs are not allowed on the course.
Awards for the 5K include overall top three male and female finishers and age-group awards for top three male and female in age brackets from 12 and under through 80 and over.
