ABQ Museum Dash : Albuquerque Museum, August 16, 2026
The ABQ Museum Dash is a community running and walking event held at the Albuquerque Museum with the start and finish staged in front of the museum adjacent to Tiguex Park and within walking distance of Old Town. The event day includes a timed 5K plus non timed 1 mile and Kids K races.
Distances offered:
- 5K (3.12 Miles) : gun start with chip finish timing.
- 5K (17 and under) : same course, reduced youth fee.
- 1 Mile Walk : non timed participation.
- Kids K (1K) : non timed for children.
The 5K awards overall top three male and female finishers and age group awards by male and female categories. The 1 Mile Walk and Kids K offer participant recognition. All 5K runners must be capable of completing the course within 1 hour and 20 minutes due to traffic control permit requirements.
Packet pickup is available the day before at a local running store. Medical staff are stationed at the start, finish, and along the course. Fluid replacement stations provide water and Powerade on course. Strollers are permitted under specific conditions; skateboards, rollerblades, unauthorized bicycles, motorized devices, and dogs are not allowed on the course.
