NM Sunflower Run : Albuquerque, NM
The NM Sunflower Run takes place on August 23, 2026, in the Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. The event offers two distances:
- 10K
- 5K
Both events use a point to point loop course that the organizer describes as flat and fast. The finish is at Casa Rondeña Winery and the start is at Coronado Dual Language Magnet School. There is no parking at the winery; designated parking is provided near the start. Portable restrooms are available near the start and the finish.
The general race entry includes professional timing, a t shirt, a souvenir wine glass, a custom finisher medal, and post race refreshments at the finish. A post event barbecue is available for an additional fee. All participants must wear the supplied timing chip bib to be entered in the results and to be eligible for awards. This is an adults only event restricted to ages 21 and older and photo ID is required at packet pickup and at the winery finish.
Medical staff and radio communications personnel will be positioned along the course. Fluid replacement stations are provided. Results and awards include overall places and age group prizes for both distances with awards determined by gun time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
