Albany Move'n'Groove 2026
Albany Move'n'Groove combines a community music festival with a looped running course in Albany, California. The event takes place near Memorial Park and Albany High School at 1325 Portland Avenue, Albany CA 94706 and features live bands positioned around the course during the races.

The 5K follows a nearly flat looped course that circles Memorial Park and Albany High School and is run as six complete laps. The course will be closed to traffic and free of parked cars during the event. Pavement is generally in good condition but roads have a slight camber; running or walking nearer the center of the street reduces camber-related strain. The course is not USATF certified and measures close to 5K by GPS, about 5.25K. Chip timing will be used for results. Participants are responsible for keeping track of their own lap count.
Event formats include separate entries for strollers and para athletes. Strollers and wheelchairs must be human powered and road-worthy; wheelchairs should be self-propelled by the athlete. The kids race uses a single loop and is reserved for children 10 years old and under. Registration is required only for competitors. Packet pickup is held the day before the event at a local running store. T-shirts are available for separate purchase through April 30 for an additional fee.
