Marin Mile
The Marin Mile is the third annual mile race held at Archie Williams High School. After an inaugural race in 2024, the event invites participants to jog, run, or race a one mile distance on a local historic track.
The event is organized into multiple heats that are run in descending order from slow to fast. It concludes with Elite men’s, women’s, and nonbinary races; organizers aim to witness the first sub four minute mile on Marin County soil.
The Marin Mile is USATF sanctioned and uses electronic timing to record results. A portion of all proceeds will support Running For A Better Oakland, which empowers Oakland K-12 students to set goals and build confidence through running.
Event features listed by the organizer include a swag bag, bibs and timing, and event photography. Elite prizes will be awarded equally for men’s, women’s, and nonbinary races, with prize amounts to be announced. Past results include a 2025 leaderboard.
