The Marin Mile : event description
The Marin Mile is a USATF sanctioned one mile track event held on May 30, 2026 at Archie Williams High School Track, 1327 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, San Anselmo, CA 94960. The 2026 race is the third edition following an inaugural event in 2024.
The meeting stages multiple heats to accommodate a range of paces and concludes with elite men, women, and non binary races. Organizers have announced equal prize plans for the elite divisions with specific amounts to be published later. In 2025 the event awarded more than $1000 in cash prizes and gift cards to the top five elite finishers across divisions.
Timing is electronic to provide accurate official results. All participants receive swag bags containing products from event sponsors. A portion of event proceeds will support Running For A Better Oakland, an organization that works with Oakland K 12 students to set goals and build confidence through running. RBO describes its vision as building a tolerant, healthy, and prosperous community by using a structured running program to create relationships, establish trust, build self esteem, and empower students, parents, and volunteers.
