Albany Ave 5K Massapequa
The Albany Ave 5K is a community road race held at Albany Avenue School in Massapequa, New York. The course is USATF certified and the event includes a separate children's fun run.
All finishers receive a medal. Event amenities include refreshments, snacks, event T shirts, and a post race awards ceremony with professional announcing. Results and photos are published online with live timing options, same day finish line photos, and video.
Awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall and to the top three male and top three female in multiple age divisions: 12 and under, 13 to 15, 16 to 19, 20 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60 to 64, 65 to 69, 70 to 74, and 75 and over. The first place finisher in the children s fun run receives a medal.
Proceeds from the event support the Albany Avenue School PTA. Packet pick up is organized the evening before at the school Heritage Hall and on race morning at Heritage Hall where registration and packet distribution are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
