AKF Walk & Run Atlanta : Truist Park & The Battery Atlanta
AKF Walk & Run Atlanta is a community fundraising event at Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta. The event offers a timed USATF certified 5K, a free walk that goes inside the ballpark, and a short kids sprint. The Aga Khan Foundation USA organizes the event to support its work on sustainable, locally led development.
The 5K starts on Battery Avenue, winds through the neighborhood beside the ballpark, and finishes on the field inside Truist Park. The course is chip timed, USATF certified for official results, and includes three water stations. Runners receive a bib at check in and a swag bag at the finish.
The walk enters through the First Base Gate, climbs to the upper concourse, passes down through the stands to field level, completes a full lap of the warning track, and exits through the Left Field Gate into the Children’s Park. A step free route is available with a Guest Services elevator escort; the walk works for strollers and wheelchairs.
Other on site activities include a 100 yard kids dash, mindful yoga, two stages of live music, food trucks on Battery Avenue, an immersive VR experience, a silent auction, and a Children’s Park with family attractions. General admission to the festival area is free for attendees without registered race entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
