AIRE Ultra Trail and Super Trail Half
The event takes place on 26 July 2026 at Piglove By The River, Clarence Rd, Leeds LS10 1EE. It features two trail distances and a riverside setting close to Granary Wharf, the Royal Armouries and Leeds Station.
Distances
- Aire Ultra Trail: approx 43 to 45 km / 27 to 28 miles
- Aire Super Trail Half: approx 22 km / 14 miles
The course follows public footpaths, riverside trails and some tarmac paths. The route is described as very flat and fast, following the river with a couple of small bridges that have steps. The course will be signposted with pink arrows. Road crossings and turnaround points will be clearly marked and marshalled. The route passes St Aiden's and Fairburn Ings Nature Reserves.
Facilities at Race HQ include toilets and bag storage. Finishers receive a locally made medal and a pint provided by Piglove Brewery. The ultra offers no fewer than five water stations, four of which include snacks. The half offers no fewer than two water stations with snacks. Spot prizes are provided by sponsors.
Minimum age is 18. Depending on weather some kit may be made mandatory for the ultra, though no mandatory kit is required for the half. Parking is available at CitiPark Leeds Dock, Armouries Drive LS10 1LE; access by foot, bicycle or public transport is encouraged. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
