About the race
The AIRE Marathon, held in Leeds along the scenic River Aire, offers a flat and fast 42-kilometre trail course following the Trans Pennine Trail. Starting at Piglove By The River, a vibrant beer garden in Citu’s Climate Innovation District, runners enjoy riverside paths with excellent footpath conditions and a few small bridges with steps. The half marathon covers 21 kilometres on the same route.
The event features clear signage, marshalled road crossings, and facilities including toilets and bag storage. Finishers receive a medal and a complimentary drink from Piglove Brewing Co.
