T-Bred 5K and 1 Mile Trot
The event on October 31, 2026 takes place at Virginia Acres Park (Odell Weeks Activity Center), 1700 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC 29803. Proceeds benefit South Aiken High School's Cross Country program.
Two distances are offered:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Trot
Registration opens August 21, 2026 and closes September 18, 2026. Fees listed by the organizer are $45.00 for the 5K and $25.00 for the 1 Mile. T shirts are guaranteed for participants who register before October 1, 2026; later registrations may receive shirts on a first come, first served basis. Available sizes include YM, YL, AS, AM, AL, AXL, AXXL.
The 1 Mile Trot is self timed and uses the Virginia Acres walking track. The 5K uses Aiken's USATF certified course SC26017JK and starts and ends on the Virginia Acres walking track, following historic roads around an equestrian area. Awards for the 5K include overall top three male and female finishers, top male and female masters participant age 40 and up, and top three male and female chip timed finishers in each age division. Age divisions are 12 and under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and up.
Packet pick up and late registration are available on race day at Virginia Acres Park. Strollers are allowed, dogs are allowed if leashed, and walking participants are asked to be courteous to runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
