Aid via Action 5K
Aid via Action is a community 5K held at Bachman Lake Park in Dallas on September 19, 2026. The event aims to raise awareness about global health access and to support delivery of surgical care in Guatemala by strengthening local resources so that Guatemalan physicians can provide care with competence and compassion.
The event offers an in-person 5K at Bachman Lake Park and a virtual run option that can be completed anywhere. Virtual participants may walk, run on a treadmill, or join another event and submit evidence of completion such as a screenshot, watch data, or a photo of treadmill results; examples of compatible apps include MayMyRun / MapMyRide, Strava, and Garmin. Virtual entrants receive a race t-shirt and finisher medal by mail after the event.
Race operations include packet pickup at Playtri Dallas before the event and at the race site on race day. Timing is chip based using disposable chips attached to participants' bibs. The minimum age to enter the 5K is 6 years. Course rules prohibit pets and the use of scooters, roller or inline skates, and bicycles; strollers are permitted. The use of personal music devices during the race is strongly discouraged for safety.
Awards are presented to overall winners, masters and grand masters by gender, and in 10-year age groups from 15 and under through 80 and older. Entry fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
