Aid via Action 5K
Aid via Action 5K is an annual community run held at Bachman Lake Park in Dallas, Texas. The event raises awareness about global health access and supports efforts to deliver surgical care to communities in Guatemala by helping strengthen local resources and clinical capacity at specific sites in Northern Guatemala.
The event features a chip-timed 5K in which each participant wears a disposable timing chip attached to the race bib. Packet pickup is available at Playtri Dallas and at the race site on race day. A virtual run option is offered; virtual participants may complete the distance at any location, including on a treadmill, outside, or during another race, and reported results may be submitted using common fitness apps such as MapMyRun, Strava, or Garmin. Virtual participants receive a race t-shirt and finisher medal by mail after the event.
Course and safety notes include no pets on the 5K course per USATF safety rules, strollers may be integrated, and scooters, roller or inline skates, and bikes are not permitted in the sanctioned event. Use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged for safety. Playtri Racing reserves the right to modify courses or event details for safety or production reasons.
Additional facts: the minimum age to participate is 6 years, awards are given to overall, masters, grand master, and age groups in ten-year increments from 15 and under through 80 plus, entry fees are non-refundable, results will be posted, and registering grants event organizers permission to use race photography and video for promotional purposes.
