Aid via Action 5K : Bachman Lake Park, Dallas
Aid via Action 5K is an annual race held at Bachman Lake Park in Dallas that raises awareness about global health access and aims to reduce disparities in surgical care for people in Northern Guatemala. The event includes an in-person 5K and a virtual run option that can be completed at any location using outdoor routes, treadmills, or other races. Virtual participants may use fitness apps such as Strava, Garmin, or similar platforms and receive a race t-shirt and finisher medal by mail after the event.
The race uses disposable chip timing; each participant is required to wear a timing chip attached to the bib at packet pickup. Packet pickup is available the day before at the Playtri Dallas store and on race morning at the event site. The minimum age to participate in the 5K is 6 years.
Course rules note that pets are not allowed on the 5K course and that scooters, roller or inline skates, and bicycles are not permitted in sanctioned events. Strollers may be integrated into the event. The organizer discourages use of personal music devices for safety and reserves the right to modify or cancel the event for safety, weather, or production concerns. Entry fees are non-refundable and transfers are not allowed.
