Aid via Action 5K

Aid via Action 5K is an annual road race held on September 25, 2027, at Bachman Lake Park in Dallas, Texas. The event raises awareness about global health access and supports efforts to reduce disparities in surgical care between low-income and high-income countries. Its stated mission is to deliver care to Guatemalan people by maximizing and strengthening resources at specific sites in Northern Guatemala so local physicians can provide care with competence and compassion.

The event features a 5K distance and a virtual run option that can be completed at any location. Virtual participants may use digital fitness apps to document their effort and receive a race t-shirt and finisher medal by mail after the race.

Logistics and rules include chip timing with disposable chips assigned to bib numbers, on-site and pre-race packet pickup locations, and a minimum participation age of 6 years. For safety, no pets are allowed on the 5K course, strollers are permitted, and scooters, roller or inline skates, and bicycles are not allowed in the sanctioned event. The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged to promote a headphone-free environment for participant safety.

Awards are given to the overall winners and masters male and female, with age-group awards in ten-year increments from 15 and under through 80 and over. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable; the organizer reserves the right to modify or cancel the event for safety or other production concerns.
