Event Overview
The AH09 5K Fun Run is the 8th annual edition of this event. It takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in the city of Alamo Heights, part of San Antonio, Texas. The event offers a single 5K distance. The course is timed, and participants can choose to run or walk.
Location and Course
The start and finish line is located at the Alamo Heights City Hall parking lot at 6116 Broadway. The race begins at the rear of City Hall.
Charity and Beneficiary
All proceeds from the event go to Alamo Heights Animal Care Services. Representatives from the service will be at the event with adoptable pets.
Registration and Fees
Registration is required, and no entries are accepted on race day. The standard registration fee is $25 until March 31, 2026, increasing to $30 until April 10, 2026. Discounted rates are available:
- Free for children 5 years and younger.
- $10 for children ages 6 to 12.
- A family/team rate of $20 per person applies for groups of five or more.
Participant Items
Participants who register early receive a t-shirt and a finisher's medal. There is also an option to purchase a special 2026 City of Alamo Heights Fiesta Medal for an additional $5 with registration. These fiesta medals are typically only available to residents and will not be sold separately.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup for the participant items (swag bag) is available in advance at City Hall on Thursday, April 9 (2:00 PM to 6:00 PM) and Friday, April 10 (noon to 5:00 PM). Packet pickup is also available on race day, April 11, starting at 7:00 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
