Course and rules

The course uses footpaths and tracks, passes Robin Hoods cottage, crosses moor top sections, descends through a small quarry and returns to finish near Punstock Road. Jacobs Mound will be routed to a more runnable line in 2026. Marshals may direct tail runners onto a slightly shorter route if required. All Darwen Dashers races are held in accordance with FRA safety requirements and rules for competition. Course maps and organizer information are available from the race organiser's website.
