Aggie 5 Miler
The Aggie 5 Miler is a road race held in St Agnes village, Truro, Cornwall. The course starts and finishes in the village centre and runs around St Agnes Beacon, down to St Agnes Head, then completes a loop along Beacon Drive back to the village centre. The event is the seventh round of the Cornish Grand Prix running series and follows rules for that series.
Entries are limited to 300 places and the event is currently full; new entrants will be placed on a waiting list. The minimum age to compete is 15 years. Entry fees are listed for UKA members and non-members. The race uses chip timing, with chips worn on the ankle and returned after the race; placings will be awarded using gun to chip time. First 300 entries are guaranteed an event medal.
Race categories include male and female open and veteran age groups and team prizes for the top three male and female teams, with six scorers to count. Registration is at the race headquarters, St Agnes Sports Club, where pre-entries must collect their race number. There is no official baggage storage; bags may be left at the club at the owner’s risk. Parking near the club is limited and there is a 1.2 km walk from the main car park to the start line.
Personal audio devices, dogs, wheelchairs, wheeled carriages and cycles are not permitted on the course for safety reasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
