Aggie 5 Miler
The Aggie 5 Miler is a 5-mile road race starting and finishing in St Agnes village centre in Cornwall. It is round seven of the Cornish Grand Prix Running Series. The route goes around St Agnes Beacon, down to St Agnes Head, and loops back via Beacon Drive to the village centre finish.
Registration is from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the event HQ, St Agnes Sports Club. Participants must collect their race number on the day. The start line is a 1200m walk from the car park and race HQ. There is no official baggage storage; bags can be left at the club at the owner's risk.
Parking is limited. Free parking is available at the sports club car park (the Race HQ). Additional parking options include a pay-and-display car park by St Agnes Library (free for the first 90 minutes) and on-road parking in nearby housing estates.
The event features chip timing, with timing chips worn on the ankle and returned after the race. According to Cornish Grand Prix series rules, the use of MP3 players, personal audio devices, and bone-conducting headphones is prohibited. Dogs, wheelchairs, wheeled carriages, and cycles are also not allowed.
Awards are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in male and female categories for Under 35 and veteran age groups (35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, and 80+). Team awards are also presented.
