Event Overview
The Worcester Jingle 5K is a seasonal running event held in the center of Worcester, Massachusetts. The course features a start and finish line located on Front Street, adjacent to Worcester City Hall. Participants are encouraged to wear festive costumes for the occasion. The event includes a post-race party following the completion of the runs.
The available distances for participants include:
- 5 km Run/Walk
- 0.5 Miles Kids Run for ages 12 and under
- 5 km Virtual Race
Series and Participation
This race serves as the first event in the Worcester Triple Crown series. This three-race series includes the Worcester Jingle 5K, the Guinness Celtic 5K, and the Worcester Cinco 5K. Runners who complete the entire series receive a finisher medal at the final race. Virtual participants can also count their results toward this series and other regional series. Virtual runners must submit their times through a dedicated results portal to be included in the standings.
Logistics and Awards
Registration is available online or as a walk-up on the day of the event, though event t-shirts are not guaranteed for race-day registrations. Packet pickup is scheduled for both the day before the race at a local athletic store and on race day at City Hall. The event supports the Plant a Seed Foundation by collecting toy donations during packet pickup and on the morning of the run.
Awards are presented to the top three overall finishers based on gun time. Age group awards are provided based on chip time for categories ranging from under 19 to 70 and over.
