After Work Dirt Trail Races
After Work Dirt is a small, community-focused trail race series running from June 25 to July 30, 2026 in the Portland, Maine area. Born from the Tiny Trails series, these weeknight events take place on local trail networks and partner with land trusts that care for and protect those spaces.
Races are intentionally capped at 75 runners to keep fields small and the atmosphere low-key. Courses range from approximately 5K to 6.5 miles and every venue is within 20 minutes of Portland. Venues listed for the series include Robinson Woods, Gull Crest Trails, East Windham Conservation Area, and Falmouth Community Park.
Distances in the series:
- 10K Robinson Woods Cape Elizabeth
- 5K Gull Crest Trails Cape Elizabeth
- 6.5 Miles East Windham Conservation Area Trails
- 5K Falmouth Community Park Trails
Registration opens on 5/4/2026 and is available online and in person on race day. Discounted pricing is available for runners who register for the full series in advance. Published fees for the events are $20 per single race and $70 for entry to all four races.
Runners who complete at least three races are included in the overall series standings and eligible for sponsor prizes. Awards will be presented to the top men, women, and non-binary runners in the series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
