Event overview
The AdventHealth Nighthawk Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Colt Creek State Park in Lakeland, Florida. The event offers three options: a 5K, a 10K, and a combined 15K challenge that runs both distances back-to-back. The Nighthawk 15K requires registration via the challenge bundle and organizers recommend entrants for that option be able to run a sub 1:30 10K.
Courses and rules
The races use loop courses on existing unpaved trails within Colt Creek State Park. The course surface may include soft sand, standing water, mud, rocks, roots, and possible wildlife encounters. Headlamps are required for the 5K event. Strollers, baby joggers, and pets are prohibited on the courses. Course maps are listed as coming soon.

- Nighthawk 15K Challenge (both races back-to-back)
Awards and amenities
Both the 5K and 10K have chip timing and are accurately measured and well marked. Awards are given three deep in five-year age groups, plus top three overall and top masters. All finishers receive commemorative finisher medals; challenge finishers receive an additional medal. Participants also receive a premium commemorative cotton shirt and post-race food and drinks.
