AdventHealth Clermont Freedom 5K
The AdventHealth Clermont Freedom 5K is an annual Independence Day event held in downtown Clermont, Florida. The 2026 edition marks the seventh year of the race, featuring a course that begins at Clermont City Hall and concludes at Suncreek Brewery. The route consists primarily of paved city streets, departing from previous years by incorporating less trail space.
Participants can choose from the following event options:
- 3.1 Miles (Live Run / Walk)
- 3.1 Miles (Virtual Run / Walk)
The live event provides accurate timing for all participants. Race registration includes a gender-specific custom running tank and a finisher's medal. At the conclusion of the race, participants have access to a finish line celebration featuring snacks, beverages, and watermelon. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as winners in masters, grand masters, and various age group categories ranging from 9 and under to 75 and older. The trophies are unique living art pieces created by LiveTrends Design Group.
A costume contest is held during the event, with prizes awarded for the best female, male, and team patriotic outfits. The race supports the Code 4 Initiative, a nonprofit organization that assists Florida law enforcement families facing financial hardship. While strollers are permitted at the back of the pack, dogs are not allowed on the course, with the exception of approved service animals.
