About the race
The Brooks Adelaide Marathon Festival is an annual road running event organised by the South Australian Road Runners Club (SARRC). The 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday 3 May 2026 and is based at Adelaide Oval, War Memorial Drive, Adelaide, SA.
The event features an AIMS-certified course that runs through Adelaide cityscapes and parklands. The festival offers multiple race distances:
- Marathon (42 km)
- Half Marathon (21 km)
- 10 km (Pro Health Care 10KM)
- 5 km (Pro Health Care 5KM)
The course is described as flat and fast and is used by participants aiming for personal bests or qualifying times. Each year the festival attracts more than 5,000 participants across the races. A Kids Dash is also provided at no cost. The Adelaide Marathon Festival is organised by a not-for-profit running club run by members and volunteers, and the event includes race-day logistics such as course maps, bib collection, drink stations and published past results.
