Adelaide 24 Hour Festival
The Adelaide 24 Hour Festival is a timed running and walking event held on a measured loop at Park 10, War Memorial Drive, Warnpangga North Adelaide. The circuit length is 2,175 metres and the course is AIMs-measured; the surface makes the event ineligible for an IAU label.
The festival offers multiple timed distances on the same loop. Distances:
- 3 hour timed event
- 6 hour timed event
- 12 hour timed event
- 24 hour timed event
Support and event services on site include at least one aid station, electronic timing, finisher medals, first aid and toilets. Bib collection is available on the day. The festival began as a 6 hour event in 2009 and later expanded to include additional distances; it has run repeatedly since the inaugural year.
Organisers publish event documents such as a handbook, race briefing and policies, including refund and bad weather procedures. The refund policy notes refunds are limited and that optional insurance products are available for additional flexibility in cases such as cancellations or rescheduling due to forecast bad weather. Event information also references interviews and advice from past participants and volunteers to help attendees understand timed running and walking events.
