Adamant Half Marathon and Relay

The Adamant Half Marathon is an annual running event held in Vermont. The race follows a scenic figure 8 course that traverses the towns of Calais and East Montpelier. Approximately 90% of the route consists of dirt roads, featuring views of local ponds and various elevation changes through the hilly landscape.

Participants can choose from two primary options:

  • Half Marathon (individual)
  • Two person Relay

The event serves as the fifth race in the CVR/ORO Race Series. The relay portion includes an exchange point located in Adamant near the start and finish area. To support participants during the run, aid stations are positioned approximately every 2 to 3 miles along the course, providing water and sports drinks.

The finish line and aid stations remain operational until a designated cut-off. Finishers of the half marathon receive a unique medal. Post-race refreshments are provided, and a portion of the proceeds from the event is donated to the Adamant COOP and Community Club. Prizes are awarded to top finishers in overall categories and ten-year age divisions, including male, female, and non-binary classifications.

Parking for the event is organized at the race site on Haggett Road in Adamant. Registration is available in advance online or by mail, with race day registration also offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
