Achilles Charlotte 5K & Fun Run
The Charlotte chapter of Achilles International organizes athletic programs and social activities for people with disabilities. Since 1983, Achilles International has supported over 150,000 athletes of all ages and ability levels to take part in endurance events.
The inaugural Achilles Charlotte 5K & Fun Run will be held on 07/18/2026 at 2219 Tyvola Rd, Charlotte, NC 28210. The event features several race formats and divisions.

The 5K includes multiple adaptive divisions labeled for participant needs: Ambulatory (TBI, intellectual or developmental disability, etc), Pushrim, Handcycle, Duo Team, Lower Limb Loss, Mobility Impaired, and Visually Impaired.
A Guided Runner Challenge pairs two runners so one competitor is blindfolded and guided by a partner. Achilles Charlotte will provide information and instructions on guiding the blindfolded runner through the course. Guided Runner teams compete for fastest finish time and awards.
