About the race
The Friendsgiving race takes place on November 15, 2026 at Whittier Narrows Recreation Area in South El Monte, California. The event offers multiple distances on an open park trail course that uses marked out-and-back loops; participants should be courteous to other pedestrians, runners, and cyclists.
Distances offered:
- 5k out-and-back loop on the park trail
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36-mile out-and-back loops
An aid station at the turnaround near the start/finish provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos tied to bibs, free videos and cinematic race highlight reels, live results at finish, trophies and achievement badges, and access to the A Better World Running app with race tracking and Ascend Index features. Age group awards are available for pickup at the race only.
The organizer lists group discounts for multiple registrants and allows transfers through organizer request; there is a no-refund policy. The half marathon has a 3:15 time limit; early start requests can be arranged with the organizer. Parking at Whittier Narrows is charged per vehicle with a discounted rate for older adults and disabled drivers.
