Event Details
The Summer Fun event takes place on Sunday, July 26, 2026. It offers four distances: a 5k, 10k, 15k, and a Half Marathon. The race start time is 7:30 AM, with bib pickup available from 7:00 AM. The location is the Long Beach path in Belmont Shores.
Course Information
The course is an open, out-and-back route on the beach path. Participants are advised to be courteous to other path users. The route is described as easy to follow and consists of marked loops. The 5k is a single out-and-back loop. The 10k involves two loops of the 5k course. The 15k consists of three loops of the 5k course. The half marathon is run as three loops of a 4.36-mile course.
An aid station is located at the start/finish and turnaround point. It provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and GU gels. There is a 3 hour and 15 minute time limit for the half marathon, with an early start option available by request via email.
Registration & Pricing
Registration is handled through PayPal or Active.com. Early bird pricing (available one month before the race date) is: 5k $23.99, 10k $28.99, 15k $32.99, Half Marathon $38.99. Prices increase during the race month and again on race day. Race day registration accepts cash, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal.
Transfers to a later date or another participant are possible by email request. The event has a no-refund policy. Group discounts are available for five or more people via email request. Volunteers can earn a free race entry for a future event.
What's Included
Registration includes a custom finisher medal, a drawstring goodie bag, free photos, and an assortment of snacks and samples. Race results are posted online within 12-24 hours after the event.

The check-in point is at tables near 54th Place, at the start of the beach path, not near Claremont Ave. The address is 5400 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90803. Free parking is available in the surrounding residential area, with a paid beach parking lot nearby requiring advance payment at a ticket machine.
