Hot to Trot 5k 10k 15k Half Marathon : Griffith Park
A Better World Running hosts a multi-distance race at Crystal Springs Picnic Area - Pettigrew Field in Griffith Park, Los Angeles, on July 18, 2026. The event offers multiple distances on a marked, shared trail that uses hard packed dirt horse paths. Runners should expect an open course shared with pedestrians, other runners, and equestrians; participants are asked to stay to the right and pass on the left.
Distances:
- 5k out and back
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
The course is described as easy to follow and will be marked with cones and signs; the turnaround is located off to the side of the trail. An aid station located near the turnaround and start/finish offers water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels.
Registration accepts PayPal or Active.com. After PayPal registration, registrants receive a confirmation message within about 12 hours to finalize registration. Transfers are possible only by contacting the organizer; there is a no refund policy. The half marathon has a 3:15 time limit; requests for an earlier start may be considered by the organizer.
Registration benefits include custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos and videos, results posted within 12-24 hours, and an assortment of snacks and samples.
