Hot to Trot at Griffith Park
Hot to Trot is a multi-distance road and trail event held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Griffith Park, Crystal Springs Picnic Area - Pettigrew Field in Los Angeles. The course is an open out-and-back on a hard packed dirt horse trail and will be marked with cones and signs. The route is shared with pedestrians, runners, and equestrians; participants are asked to stay to the right and pass on the left. The turnaround is located off to the side of the trail.
Distances:
- 5k out-and-back route
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
An aid station is located at the turnaround/start-finish and supplies water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Registration includes a custom finisher medal, a drawstring goodie bag, free photos and videos, posted results within 12 to 24 hours, and an assortment of snacks and samples. There is a 3 hour 15 minute time limit for the half marathon. Transfers are permitted on request and there is a no refund policy.
