Hot to Trot 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon - Griffith Park
The Hot to Trot races take place on July 18, 2026 at Crystal Springs Picnic Area - Pettigrew Field in Griffith Park, Los Angeles (4730 Crystal Springs Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90027). The event uses an open course on shared trails; participants should be courteous to pedestrians, other runners, and equestrians.
The start and finish are on a grass area adjacent to a hard packed dirt horse trail. The route is an out-and-back layout marked with cones and signs; runners are asked to stay right and pass on the left. Turnarounds are set off to the side of the trail.
Distances offered:
- 5k out and back
- 10k made of two 5k loops
- 15k made of three 5k loops
- Half marathon made of three 4.36 mile loops
An aid station at the turnaround/start-finish provides water cups, bottled water, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Registration includes a custom finisher medal, drawstring goodie bag, free photos and videos, results posted on the organizer's website within 12 to 24 hours, and an assortment of snacks and samples.
Registration is available via PayPal or Active.com; registrants should use only one method. Transfers require contacting the organizer and there is a no refund policy. A 3 hour 15 minute time limit applies to the half marathon. Free parking is available in the Crystal Springs Picnic Area lots. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
