Event details
The Happy Valentine’s Day race takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Griffith Park Playground in Los Angeles. The event offers on-site parking in the large lot near the Merry Go Round/Shane’s Inspiration playground, with entry from Crystal Springs Drive and Fire Road.
Course and logistics
The event uses an open, shared trail. The route starts and finishes on a grass area, crosses a brief section of street, then continues on a hard-packed dirt horse trail. The course will be marked with cones and signs. Participants share the trail with pedestrians, runners, and equestrians and are asked to stay to the right and pass on the left. The turnaround point is off to the side of the trail. An aid station at the turnaround/start-finish provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and energy gels.
Distances and registration details
- 5k - out and back route
- 10k - two 5k loops
- 15k - three 5k loops
- Half marathon - three 4.36 mile loops
Registration includes a custom finisher medal, a drawstring goodie bag, free photos and videos, posted results within 12–24 hours, and an assortment of snacks and samples. Transfers require contacting the organizer and there is a no-refund policy. The half marathon has a 3 hour 15 minute time limit. Volunteers may be eligible for a free race entry.
