Rise to the Top 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon - Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area
This running event takes place on September 12, 2026, at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area in Los Angeles, CA. The park address is 4100 S La Cienega Blvd. Multiple race distances are offered on marked loops through the park.
Distances
- 5K out and back route
- 10K two 5K loops
- 15K three 5K loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile out and back loops
The course uses shared park trails and is open to other pedestrians, runners, and cyclists. Surfaces include dirt, some grass, and pavement. The route includes a steep hill of about 0.25 miles. An aid station at the turnaround and start/finish provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Course maps are provided for the 5K and half marathon routes.
Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free race videos, live results at finish, free photos linked to bib numbers, cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges for milestones, an Ascend Index ranking, an Ascend Crew feature to follow and compare with other runners, and the A Better World Running app to track races, photos, and videos. An assortment of snacks and samples is available.
Parking at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area is $10 per vehicle with discounts for ages 65 and over, disabled participants, and veterans.
