Rise to the Top 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon - Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area
Rise to the Top is a multi-distance running event held at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area in Los Angeles, CA on September 12, 2026. The event offers multiple race distances and looped out-and-back courses on the park trail that are marked for participants.
Distances include:
- 5k out-and-back loop
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36-mile out-and-back loops
The course uses shared park paths and includes a mix of dirt, some grass, and paved sections. One segment includes a steep hill of about 0.25 miles. The turnaround at the start/finish serves as an aid station with water cups, bottled water, Gatorade cups, and GU gels. Results are posted on the event website within 12 to 24 hours after the race. Registered participants receive custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, complimentary photos and videos, and an assortment of snacks and samples.
Parking at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area is $10 per vehicle with discounts for seniors, disabled drivers, and veterans. Group discounts are available for five or more participants through the event organizer. The event is run on an open course; participants should be courteous to pedestrians, other runners, and cyclists. No refunds and no unregistered participants are permitted.
