Los Angeles Sunset Relays & 5K
The Los Angeles Sunset Relays & 5K is an evening trail running event held at Park Center in Griffith Park on September 12, 2026. The program combines team relay racing, an individual 5K, and a new kids run within a scenic park setting.
Distances and formats:
- 10 Mile Relay - Teams of 2 or 4 run the same loop and exchange a baton.
- 5K Solo Run - A speed-friendly out-and-back or loop course for individual runners.
- 1K Kid Run - A short family-friendly course for young participants.
Event features include live music, expanded photo zones that capture golden hour lighting, a unique finisher medal for participants, and a premium gender-specific short sleeve T-shirt with team names for registrations by August 31, 2026. Race operations provide chip timing, a course aid station staffed with medical personnel, finish line fruit and snacks, and volunteer support. Relay-specific elements include captain and anchor badges, prizes for the top three teams, a trophy for the largest club or group, and an award for the most spirited team name.
