Los Angeles Sunset Relay & 5K
The Los Angeles Sunset Relay & 5K is an evening trail event held in Griffith Park on September 12, 2026. The event uses scenic, gently rolling trails that offer skyline and panoramic views of Griffith Park, the LA River, and Glendale. Courses are clearly marked and designed for speed and flow.
Distances and formats:
- 10 Mile Relay for teams of 2 or 4, same loop with baton exchanges.
- 5K Solo Run on a smooth, speed-friendly course.
- 1K Kid Run family-oriented short distance.
Relay teams can use a free agent matching option when needed. Awards and recognition include top team prizes for the relay, special awards for overall and age grade winners in the 5K, largest club or group trophy, and a Most Spirited Team Name award. Relay participants receive exclusive captain and anchor badges; top three relay teams receive sponsor prizes.
Event amenities and services include premium gender-specific short sleeve T-shirts with team names for registrations completed by August 31, 2026, unique finisher medals, downloadable golden-hour photos, live music, food truck service, finish line refreshments and snacks, a course aid station with medical staff, chip timing, custom bibs, enthusiastic volunteer support, and flexible deferral and transfer options.
