Event overview
Absolution Run takes place on January 3, 2026 at St. Edward State Park in Kenmore, Washington. It is part of the 2025-26 Winter Trail Series and offers two distances:
- 4-mile
- 8-mile
The 4-mile course is one loop; the 8-mile course is two loops. The route uses a mix of wide trail and twisting single-track, includes a section that runs along the lakeshore, and returns with an uphill segment.
Logistics, support and rules
An aid station is located next to the finish and provides water, electrolyte drink, and a variety of carbohydrate or salty snacks such as cookies, energy bars, gels, chips, bagels, candy, fig bars, sandwiches, and bananas. There is abundant parking near the start/finish/registration area, though the closest lot is reserved for hotel staff. If park lots fill, a northwest lot at Bastyr University is available about 0.4 mile (0.7 km) from the event headquarters; that lot does not require a Discover Pass. A Discover Pass is required to park at St. Edward State Park otherwise.
Youth runners under 20 receive a $10 discount on online pre-registration or day-of prices. The trails remain open to other users during the event, dogs are not allowed on the course, and participants are responsible for their own safety.
