Event overview
Absolution Run takes place on January 3, 2026 at St. Edward State Park in Kenmore, Washington. It is the fifth event in the 2025-26 Winter Trail Series. Distances offered are:
- 4-mile
- 8-mile
The 4-mile race is one loop and the 8-mile race is two loops. The course follows a mix of wider trails and twisting single track, includes a section along the lakeshore, and returns with uphill running back from the water. The event is USATF sanctioned and dogs are not allowed on the course.
Course support and logistics
An aid station is located next to the finish and serves water, Skratch Labs electrolyte drink, and a selection of carbohydrate-rich or salty items such as cookies, energy bar pieces, gels, chips, bagels, fig bars, and bananas. There is abundant parking near the start and finish, though the closest lot may be reserved for hotel staff. If park lots fill, Bastyr University northwest lot is available and is about a 0.4 mile (0.7 km) walk to the event; parking at Bastyr’s northwest lot does not require a Discover Pass. A Discover Pass is required to park at St. Edward State Park. Youth runners under 20 are eligible for a $10 discount on registration. Participating in four or more Winter Trail Series events earns a pair of limited-edition series socks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
