About the race
Absolution Run is a trail running event at St. Edward State Park in Kenmore, WA, held on January 3, 2027. It is the fifth event in the 2026-27 Winter Trail Series and offers looped trail courses through forest and along the Lake Washington shoreline.
Course details note an early stretch on a wide trail that returns onto twisting single-track. The route descends to the water and follows the shore before climbing back inland. The course layout uses repeated laps:
- 4-mile one loop
- 8-mile two loops
An aid station sits next to the finish and serves water, an electrolyte drink from Skratch Labs, and a selection of carbohydrate-rich or salty items such as cookies, energy bar pieces, gels, chews, chips, bagels, candy, fig bars, and bananas. For 8-mile runners the finish area is approximately the halfway point of their course.
Parking is available in park lots near the start and registration area; the closest lot may be reserved for hotel staff. If park lots fill, a northwest lot at Bastyr University is available with about a 0.4 mile walk to the event. A Discover Pass is required to park at St. Edward State Park; a one-day pass and annual pass options are noted.
