About the race
The Dioni Abersoch Coast Trail is a set of coastal trail races held in Abersoch on the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales. Races start and finish on the golden sands of Abersoch Beach and follow the Llŷn coastline, passing Tudwal's Islands and Porth Ceiriad. The longest route, the 20K, continues to Hell's Mouth (Porth Neigwl) before returning to Abersoch.

The event is affiliated to the Welsh Athletics Association and entrants must abide by Welsh Athletics rules and regulations. Race timing uses ChronoChip bibtag technology to record accurate times. Drink stations provide a choice of water or hydration drink along the course and at the finish.
Course management includes clear direction signs, mile markers, friendly marshals, professional traffic management and medic support. All finishers receive a zinc alloy medal with a bespoke lanyard, and recovery food and drink are provided. The event also lists a technical race t shirt among its finishers extras. Bespoke trophies and a total prize fund of £1,000 are available for top finishers.
The finish area includes music, food and a beach bar, creating a beachside atmosphere for runners and spectators. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
