A Salute to Our Veterans Viva Mobility 5K : Event Overview
A Salute to Our Veterans Viva Mobility 5K is scheduled for Saturday, November 7 at Morgan’s Sports Complex in San Antonio. The event combines a community 5K with a resource fair focused on health, wellness and mobility, and includes a one mile option and a virtual option.

The event includes adaptive and non-adaptive competition categories. The Adaptive Category covers participants who require equipment or special considerations. Chip timing and award eligibility apply to the 5K Non-Adaptive and 5K Adaptive categories; kids registered without chip timing are not eligible for awards.
Awards for the 5K Non-Adaptive and Veterans, Dependents and Surviving Spouses include overall male and female winners and 1st through 3rd in age groups: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Adaptive awards are 1st through 3rd, male and female.
Registration pricing varies by date: $25 until midnight on 9/11/26, $35 until packet pick up, and $45 at packet pick up and on race day. The 5K Adaptive category and entries for veterans, dependents and surviving spouses of veterans are free. Children 6–18 are $5 with a paid adult and may purchase a shirt; ages 0–5 are free with a paid adult.
Project MEND provides refurbished medical equipment to individuals with financial or insurance gaps. Packet pick-up locations and times are listed at Project MEND, 5015 Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78238. Registered participants receive a free same-day ticket to Morgan’s Wonderland.
