A Guided Run: to Devils Tor and Beardown Man

Event overview
The guided run takes place on 30 November 2025 at the Dartmoor Visitors Centre car park, Postbridge. Registration is open with a total of 25 places. The entry fee is £5.00 until 29 November 2025. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. A limited lift share from Tavistock is offered.
Route and what to expect
The route is just shy of 10 miles with about 1300 ft of ascent. It crosses open moorlands and tors northwest of Postbridge, visiting Rowter and the second-tallest standing stone on the moor, and returns via an old gunpowder factory. About half the route is on paths; the rest follows sheep trods. The ground can be tough in places. A shorter option is planned in case of poor weather. Trail shoes, a long-sleeve top, waterproof, snacks and water are recommended. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
